My name is Dean Obermeyer, and I am the Educational Technology
Coordinator at Los Alamos Public Schools. I have scheduled an
informational town hall meeting with Qwest Wednesday, June 18, 2:00 -
4:00
p.m. in the LAPS Board room at 751 Trinity to discuss the opportunity
and
benefit of Qwest's metro optical ethernet (QMOE) service in Los Alamos
and
White Rock. I am organizing this effort since the school district is
interested in utilizing QMOE to interconnect our individual school
networks
with high speed and reliable connections. Qwest will require
additional
commitments from business and community members before they will build
the
infrastructure. This infrastructure and service will provide
beneficial data,
voice and video communications in our community.
Would you please assist me in promoting this informational
meeting? Who
in our community should I personally contact? I am listing some of the
benefits QMOE below.
Thanks,
Dean
